Composed and arranged by “LD”, as he is informally addressed, is based on the chord changes of another Gershwin collaboration, “But Not For Me”. Lew’s use of a Rollins flavored stop n’ go line, to my ears is reminiscent of Sonny’s “The Bridge”. Lew’s ideas flow freely seemingly without pause. Bassist, Tony Marino adds another fine solo to the mix displaying his ample technique and ability to swing hard. Lew trades fours with Tom Whaley before taking it out.
