A true jazz legend, composer and musician Benny Golson began his career playing in the bands of such world famous artists as Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton and Art Blakely. As a composer and arranger, he created music for an equally illustrious list of collaborators, including Count Basie, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald and Shirley Horn among others. Golson remains a passionate advocate for jazz, lecturing at Lincoln Center and New York University, while continuing to perform internationally
